Floor drain - Maintenance of floor drain: Odor
Cause analysis: It might be that the water seal height of the floor drain is insufficient, which makes it very easy to dry up, allowing the foul smell from the drainage pipe to seep into the room.
Solution: First, there may not be a backwater bend in the floor drain. Just add one in. Second, replace it with a floor drain of the same brand and specification. However, during construction, be careful not to damage the waterproof layer. In addition, it should be noted that during use, it is necessary to prevent the water seal from drying up and to fill it with water regularly. If you are away for a long time, it is best to seal the floor drain with a lid.
Overflow
Cause analysis: It might be that the water passage section of the floor drain is not smooth enough, preventing sewage from passing through quickly, or due to the uneven internal structure of the floor drain, hair, fibers and other dirt have caught up.
Solution: The height of the floor drain is determined by the way pipes are laid in the drainage system. Therefore, the height of the floor drain selected in conjunction with it is best to be within 200mm and 120mm respectively, and it must drain sideways. The commonly used concealed installation methods are partially sinking the floor slab of the bathroom structure for pipe laying and laying pipes as a cushion layer in the bathroom. To meet the requirements of the clear height and ergonomics of the bathroom, the sunken clear height of the floor drain in the former is 300mm, and the maximum height of the cushion layer in the latter is 170mm.

Solution: Open the floor tiles around the floor drain, dig out 3cm of cement around it, then seal it with "Leak-stopping Spirit". After one hour, conduct a water-tightness test to observe if there is still water seepage. If there is no seepage, it indicates that the original state has been restored.
