Compared with simple plastic floor drains, stainless steel floor drains are waterproof, moisture-proof, anti-corrosive, of better quality and have a longer service life. So, what are the differences between stainless steel floor drains and ordinary floor drains during the installation process?

When filling cement mortar, floor drains cannot be used directly

Roll kraft paper or other firm materials into a cylinder that matches the sewer pipe, connect it to the sewer pipe, raise it above the ground, and then fill it with cement mortar.

B. Purchase dedicated floor drains or connectors for washing machines

You can also directly use a regular floor drain. Just insert the drainage pipe sleeve into the fixed pin at the top of the floor drain.

C. Before installation, the floor drain core must be removed to prevent debris from falling into the interior of the floor drain core.

D. The floor drain should be installed slightly below the ground to facilitate drainage

The drainage pipe is too close to the ground. The drainage pipe should be cut to a certain extent to ensure that the installed floor drain panel is slightly lower than the ground.

E. The installation position of the floor drain should not be too lower than the ground either

If the drainage pipe is too far from the ground, it should be filled with cement mortar, which can achieve the purpose of raising the drainage pipe.

When installing the floor drain, to prevent tools or other items from falling into the drain pipe and causing blockage, the drain pipe should be blocked in advance with a cloth or other soft items. Only when installing the floor drain core should it be removed.

G. Connect the floor drain to the sewer pipe and raise it above the ground. Mix the cement mortar in a 1:1 ratio

Fill the exposed cement gaps around the floor drain, adjust the height of the floor drain panel to an appropriate position, wait for the cement to solidify, and then place the floor drain into the pipe it forms, closely adhering to the pipe wall.
